Some public restrooms don't have any toilet paper. Never refuse free tissues when they're being handed out.
For some reason it's frowned upon to walk and eat at the same time; no one will scold you, but some people will stare.

Nagoya
by elcbw
With a population of about two million people, Nagoya is Japan's fourth most populated city. It is the capital of Aichi Prefecture and the principal city of the Nobi plain, one of Honshu's three large plains.
Nagoya grew as a castle town of the Owari, one of the three family branches of the Tokugawa. Much of the city, including most of its historic buildings were destroyed in the air raids of World War Two, leaving relatively little for the tourist today.
I stayed in Nagoya for two days in June 0f 2002 and I quite enjoyed my visit.
