Cheap accomodation during the Nebuta Matsuri festival 4 Aug on?
Hi all
I'm trying to find some fairly cheap accomodation during the Nebuta Matsuri festival 4 Aug on for about 3 nights...has anyone any ideas or suggestions?

If you are trying to find a hotel right in Aomori-shi, it is pretty much impossible to do so. Nebuta festival is such a huge, popular festival, hotels in Aomori are booked well in advance...often a year in advance. I've grown up in the middle of Aomori-shi where Nebuta festival happens and I know how crazy and busy it can get. I think your best bet is to find a hotel in a nearby city, close enough so that you can get back there after the festival ends around 9pm or so. It's a great festival you can actually participate ( you can rent haneto yukata/costume)in, hope you can get to enjoy it.
