Go for a Gondola Ride
by Wild_Orchid
Most visitors to Tokyo DisneySea will never miss out on taking a ride on the Gondola. The Gondoliers are supposedly just like their Venetian counterparts. They not only row, they also sing and joke with many female passengers who could be heard giggling and laughing at the gondoliers antics.
Unfortunately for me, I missed out on the laughter because the jokes and songs were all in Japanese. Still, all in all, it was an enjoyable experience. As I have yet to visit the real Venice, this was good enough for me! ~sigh~ maybe one day soon...
chiba-shi (45 min. from Tokyo)

"I left my heart in Chiba-shi"
Sigh....
if you've ever watched idyllic urban scenes in anime, thats what Chiba City was when i lived there...
CLEAN, technologically savvy, but still filled with provincial charm. Japanese are very meticulous and take pride in details... imagine seeing a fire hydrant that has etched details on them...
the bay-side park is beautiful. i remember sitting near one of the monuments and being suprised when it started to move and make music!
the funniest thing? going to a posh department store and smelling the delicious and very un-departmentstory" smells coming up from the basement where foodstalls are jam packed with goodies!
