There are quite a number of temples here in this area, but we stumbled upon here. This particular one celebrates Choshi's wealth and prosperity.

Here is located near the northern shore a 5-min walk from Choshi Dentetsu Kannon Station.

Just another nice Japanese temple, yet.. another interesting thing as seen in the minor photos is that a 5-storey pagoda is currently under construction, complete with modern steel frame and very likely with the required earthquake resistant technology. It's the first time I've seen the skeleton of this sort of architecture, yet wondering how past construction techniques would give way to modern designs and materials whilst at the same time keeping the traditional design.
