Business Hotel: Matsudo No Yado Hotel Sendan-Ya
This is a no frills hotel... its nice and cheap, it has all the accomadations one needs for simple traveling including tooth paste and brush, razors, shampoo, soap vending machine access... Anyway this isn't a Hilton hotel or anything but the service is incredible, the staff is ultra-polite and accomadating. There is also so some english speaking staff.. one gentleman in particular is fluent in english. They have an old computer in lobby which is available most of the time to do some quick email checking and research.. This place super cheap compared to hotels in Tokyo. This pace is located pretty close to the Matsudo train station and theres lots of food joints between the hotel and the train station... Oh you gotta try this one place a block down from this hotel its good!! They got all kinds of meat on a stick cooking, you kinda don't know what your eating but its good..
The best thing about this place is the ease in which to reserve a room... If your not using a travel agency sometimes this can be a little difficult to book a room in Japan especially in a suburb like Matsudo. Go to there website and you can book a room with your credit card its easy... When you get there just show them your print out and they'll give you your room.. One more tip: At hotels in Japan if the hotel issues you an actual metal key, when you leave the hotel you give the key to the front desk and when you get back you retrieve the key from the front desk... this might be the same for electronic key cards but I'm not sure....
