For what it is worth, I did a quick Google search and came up with this suggestion:

http://www.narita-airport.jp/en/whats_new/tours/index.html

or

http://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&channel=s&hl=en&q=Airport+tours+from+Narita+Airport%2C+Japan&btnG=Google+Search

Most of the international airports have some sort of "time waster" tours that pick you up at the airport and return you there in time for your flight.

O-chochin-the Red Lantern

by Wild_Orchid

At the Naritasan Temple entrance, there is a large red lantern hanging at the Niomon Gate, with an inscription in large Japanese characters in black ink. You are probably wondering what the inscription says. I fully expected it to be the name of the temple or one of the important temple deities.

Well, I found the answer after my trip, on an internet search. What do you know, it was totally unexpected, but the answer is - Fish Market- . Apparently, since the Edo period, it has been a tradition of the fish market to contribute the lantern to the Naritasan Temple. The current lantern was donated by the Fish Market in 1968.

"Sky Court Hotel"

The first night, I stayed at Sky Court Hotel Narita. It is a short drive to this budget hotel so, I took their complimentary shuttle van from the airport. Since, I arrived late in the evening, I didn't want to make the long trip to Tokyo, etc. so, I booked this hotel on Agoda and got a good rate. Agoda has great hotel rates for Asia; better than expedia and travelocity.
The hotel had a restaurant in the lobby so, I had dinner here consisting of Tonkatsu (washoku/traditional pork cutlets), rice, soup, salad, and cut cabbage. It was reasonably priced and the place was basic and no frills.

I know this airport so well!

"Sakura Lounge Narita Airport"

The politeness of the staff is overwhelming. Very comfortable lounge to spend the time in between flights. Wireless Internet. Coffee, beer and wine and other refreshments. newspapers in english and japanese as well as magazines. Quiet and good to relax here before long flights to other continents. On this day, I am waiting for a flight to Houston from Narita, 11 hours flight so it is good to relax a little bit before boarding the flight.

"I know this airport well"

Almost everytime I fly to the Americas I go through Narita Airport. This airport is new, clean, and huge! Most of the planes here are the massive Boeing 747 aircrafts.

However, Thai just changed their routing, so it looks like I'll be going through Osaka Kansai International Airport starting in June :) it's all good

"The good and the bad airlines"

OK:
