Holiday Inn Tobu Narita: Close to Airport and Cheaper on the Internet

Checking the internet the day before, one can find amazing finds. On my last visit, the day before taking a flight, I found a reasonable rate at this hotel, the main attraction of which is that it is close to the airport. But felt very isolated, even going to the convenience store was a chore crossing very busy streets. I recommend staying at the lovely little town of Narita itself

There is two wings, the older east wing has less attractive rooms, but they are also cheaper. West wing is standard 3-star fare with no specific extras. Clean, good accommodation, VERY near the NRT airport.
Old-fashion keys must be left at the front desk when going out.
There is a reasonable-priced gift shop in the hotel. Actually, we found there the cheapest postcards in whole Japan, and boy did we look for them (not easy to find).
There was excellent mood music available in-room from a cd-player of a sort. Very relaxing.
Free shuttle bus from / to the airport, 10-15 minutes. Also during the day free shuttle to the small Narita City with good economy shopping possibilities.
