Close to the airport

Raddison was full so I had to spend 3 nights here. What I like about it is that its close to the airport (5 min from T2) and ask for a room with an airport view and you can watch arrivals and departures on the new runway on the east side if you like that sort of thing. The hotel has everything you would expect from the Holiday Inn chain. They also like the other hotels offer free shuttles to Narita city and the Aeon mall. Check with the front desk for skeds.

Unique Quality: Beds were a bit on the hard side and the nylon bedspreads were a bit on the tacky side. The breakfast buffet was a bit more than the Raddison and we caught a cab over there to avoid eating here a couple of mornings. On the upside this is a great value option if you are stuck in NRT due to a late flight or long layover...my room with a queen bed was around 78 USD per night which is cheaper than the Raddison. The bathroon even had a razor and saving cream so I could clean up a bit prior to my ride home....if they had an iron and board in the room it would have been even better as the dry cleaning/washing service here is not cheap..paid a couple of bucks just for a pair of boxers to be washed..my pants were another story.

Close to Airport and Cheaper on the Internet

Checking the internet the day before, one can find amazing finds. On my last visit, the day before taking a flight, I found a reasonable rate at this hotel, the main attraction of which is that it is close to the airport.
But felt very isolated, even going to the convenience store was a chore crossing very busy streets. I recommend staying at the lovely little town of Narita itself

Unique Quality: Close to the Airport.
Good rate on the Internet.

Convenient rooms, airport short shuttle-ride away

There is two wings, the older east wing has less attractive rooms, but they are also cheaper. West wing is standard 3-star fare with no specific extras. Clean, good accommodation, VERY near the NRT airport.

Old-fashion keys must be left at the front desk when going out.

There is a reasonable-priced gift shop in the hotel. Actually, we found there the cheapest postcards in whole Japan, and boy did we look for them (not easy to find).

Unique Quality: There was excellent mood music available in-room from a cd-player of a sort. Very relaxing.

Free shuttle bus from / to the airport, 10-15 minutes.
Also during the day free shuttle to the small Narita City with good economy shopping possibilities.

Low-cost internet terminals in the hotel lobby.

Very friendly services.

Rail travel from Haneda Airport

by maff9

Hi
I will be travelling later this year and need to know if there is a simple way of getting from Tokyo Haneda airport to the Holiday inn, Tobu Narita. I will be travelling with elderly relatives and need to make the journey as simple and comfortable as possible.

There is no direct train connection, but you could get on the Keikyu line at Haneda, and then transfer to the Keisei line at Aoto and go to Narita city that way, and then get a taxi from Narita station.

Alternatively there are buses from Haneda airport to Narita airport. Not sure if they will stop at the hotel on the way though.

Cheers for the advice, much appreciated.
The bus sounds like the best option to me.
Thanks again

Probably best if you have a lot of luggage.
