Tsuruga
I went to Tsuruga almost twenty years ago. It is best known by the beautiful beach Kehi-no-Matsubara or Kehi Pine Grove, one of the top 3 beaches of Japan. It is also known by the Tsuruga Nuclear Power Plant. Kehi beach is really a nice place. And the view from the lookout in Kanezaki castle ruins is nice as well, though it is close to the nuke plant. Tsuruga is also a base for Mikata-Goko Area and a historical town Obama, which happens to carry the same name as current U.S. President.
