Miyako hotels are found throughout Japan. This was my last stop in my 2005 visit. The hotel has an excellent location, right beside the eastern exit from Hakata station. Hakata is part of Fukuoka and the main shinkansen station is located here.
I found the hotel a little snobby and pretensious... not my normal sort of place. However, the room I had was very nice. As my travel agent booked this hotel in a package, I'm not sure how much it cost. I've guessed... The location is very good. Just across the road is a Yodabashi Camera store!! :)

I stayed here for a night. For a single traveler, the room would be enough,even though its kinda crammed if you are bringing big luggage. Was Surprised with the Japanese. They sure know how to know make full use of the technology. The toilet bowl- you dont even have to use tissues or get wet to clean yourself..haha! A press of buttons was all it needed.
The services was not bad, can be improved but im not complaining. :)
Breakfast wise...well good to fill the stomach but prefer the outside food better. Breakfast was held at the 12th level where you can get the view of the Hakata Station.
For entertainment, the only channel in English is BBC News. So you got an option to buy a pre-paid card where you can watch movies in your room.
