"Man on Bicycle"
I really like this one...not much to add, really.
Just a guy riding his bike down a tree-lined street in Fukuoka.
What's not to like about Japan?
"Me, by the Mikasa River"
Such a short trip...only a day...too bad.
Fukuoka is (I guess) typical Japan. I say "I guess" because, even though I've been there about 7 times, all but two have been in the airport. The other two have been visa runs...Korean embassy day trips to ensure I can gainfully be employed in Korea. Now that I live in Busan, Fukuoka is the closest embassy abroad. A three hour trip by hydrofoil, and a short bus/taxi ride.
Two old friends, talking quietly and good-naturedly with each other, on streets that are absolutely spotless!
What a contrast to Korea. They aren't shouting! There's not a speck of trash anywhere!
Architecture is simple, elegant, tasteful, beautiful.
The place is quiet, peaceful, and while not exactly bursting with flavour, it was hard to leave.
