Ohori Park by amambaw
Ohori Park reminded me a lot of Stanley Park in Vancouver, Canada, although considerably smaller! The park is centered around a man-made lake, and is surrounded by park area - trees, playgrounds, gardens, running track, etc. It's a great place to go for a walk, to sit and read, to have a picnic, or to people-watch. You can walk the outside of the lake (about 2k) or you can take a path across the lake. There are several bridges and little gazebos that give you the feeling of being in a romantic Asian movie (if you're into that!).
Another fun thing to look for is the koi living in the lake. I'm not sure if the lake is fully stoked, or if someone just threw a few in for fun, but they are huge! Think salmon-sized goldfish... they're probably the city's secret sushi stash!
If you're coming from a bigger city, or, like me, from somewhere where green space is limited, this is sure to be a treat.
