Japan is a very diverse country.
Just a 3 hour hydroboat ride from Busan is the southern port city of Fukuoka. Fukuoka has some very historical sites right in the middle of the city. This is a picture of an old castle. It was a national holiday and everyone had gathered among the cherry blossom trees to have picnics. The castle has a great view of the city from the top. Not to far away is a large park.
"Peace in the big city"
Very close to the old castle is this large park. In the middle there is a large pond with giant gold fish. Unfortunitly you can't fish there. You however rent the large swan paddle boats. They are reasonably price and make for a good time. If you are with enough people try bumper swans. It is quite fun. There is also a nice restaurant right on the lake. It made for a nice lunch. But could also be a romantic spot if you are with your significant other.
"What other way to spen a day but drunk in the park"
After the castle and pond I stumbled onto this large activity area. There were families, kids playing soccer and of course a group of drunk college kids. I and my group figured when in Rome. We joined the group who were already doing a type of interpretive dance. They ended up being a good group of people. It turned out to be the end of a full day.
