Kouakan Ryokan
"The 2 frogs."
A picture on the wall of my room.
"The owners"
The owners of Kouakan Ryokan are nature lovers and you can tell that they are so hardworking. The ryokan is clean, homely and very hospitable. Although they don't speak English / not much anyway, they tried to accommodate me as much as possible. Most of their guests are regulars and mostly are Obaasan. The master never smiles tho.
"Special sweet in the room"
Aromatic Japanese green tea and a very special sweet greets you when you arrive in your room. I wished I could have more of the sweet.
"Ladies' Bath"
The entrance to the ladies bath. Opposite is the men's bath. You'll find yoursellf in a changing room where you remove your clothing / yukata and leave them in the baskets provided. The bath is beyond the sliding door. Temperature of water was approx. 43deg Celsius. Make sure you practise onsen etiquette.
