Frying Paan Pension - Annupuri, Niseko: Best European Food in Japan

This pension was the cheapest we've seen in the Niseko region, and worth it. It's very basic (shared bathrooms, etc), but the family is really warm and welcoming, and the location is at the base of the Annupuri gondola. The food is also great - get the breakfast included.

Book directly through the website or through the telephone. Beware of booking through the next door lodge, Annupuri Lodge, who will charge you a significant sales commission for making the booking for you.

Unique Quality: This little pension is run by a Japanese family, two of whom are excellent chefs. For an excellent price (considering the price of the area), you get an exquisite 6 course meal. The food was honestly some of the best cuisine we've had outside of Europe - it's definitely worth the trip to Annupuri (from Niseko) to go for dinner. As it's homemade for you, and they do all the shopping daily for the dinner that evening, you need to book your dinner in advance.
