Syukutsu
Cruise out of Otaru to Syukutsu. Along the way, you'd see beautiful cliffs and the wonderful sea.
Syukutsu's a port town and the main highlight is a preserved historical building of a seaman or blacksmith??

Otaru is a good walking town and it’s only 50 minutes (by train) from Sapporo. Otaru comes from an Ainu (Hokkaido’s aboriginal people) word that means river in the sandy beach. Otaru is famous for it’s glassware and canal lined by European style buildings. I would only recommend half a day here. As you exit the station there is a tourist information desk to the left of the gate. There you can find maps in English but it is fairly difficult to get lost!
