Old Government Building. This...
Old Government Building. This stately brick building stands out from its concrete neighbors. It was built in the American neo-baroque style. Admission is free and it is definitely worth a visit. On Sundays, the grounds are filled with artists, acrobats, and traditional storytellers.
Sapporo- So musically exciting!
"Sapporo might be next home!"
Just go back from Muroran, which is in Hokkaido. My boyfriend and I performed at the Muroran Jazz Cruise. They call it a cruise but it is really a festival. This outdoor festival has great musicians, tasty food and interesting vendors. The setting is beautiful too. The stage is inside a warehouse right in the port of the city. But you can sit outside and listen to the show thru speakers. All of the acts were excellent. I appreciate how organized it was and how the audience was so into the music. They follow you all the way. I reccommend anyone taking the tri to see this festival. Plus, if you get there ealier or stay later, you can go partyin Sapporo, which is one of the safest places to party in Japan. There are all kinds of clubs everywhere, especially R&B, Soul and Jazz Clubs. We hung out at a Jazz club in Sapporo called "Day by Day". We met the owner, Suzie, hung out with the band and even sat in for a few. We loved them.
Japan is great!
