Does anyone know of any vegetarian friendly (ie no meat fish or seafood) restaurants in Sapporo or Hakodate? Thanks for any help!
I don't know about specifics for those towns but pretty much all decent-sized Japanese cities have Italian restaurants, most of which have basic no-meat pizza or pastas (such as arrabiata). Also indian restaurants are pretty common in Japan. You will always find meat-free dishes there.
When you see a wax model of a dish (in the window) that looks good, order it.
The Clock Tower, the symbol of Sapporo, was constructed in 1878 as a drill hall of Sapporo Agricultural College. Inside is a panel exhibition introducing the history of the Clock Tower, a description of clock mechanisms on large screens and a display of clocks of the same model. Admission to the museum is 200 yen for adults.
