Location of Tsukua
Anyone can tell me whats to see in Tsukuba? And whereabouts is Tsukuba? Near Tokyo?
Is it worth a trip there?
Re: Location of Tsukua
Hi! It's me..Ayuri again :-)
Tsukuba is located to the north-east of Tokyo and it takes 2 or 3 hours by bus from Tokyo.(maybe....I'm not so sure...)
Well, unfortunately Tsukuba doesn't seem to be a place for travellers.
It's a city of university and offices and research companies.
And there are many apartment houses for those who works in the companies & university.
Re: Re: Location of Tsukua
I live in Tsukuba. It takes exactly 60 minutes by highway bus from Tokyo Station and exactly 1250 yen.
If you are involved in science and technology is a nice to place to visit. Main national laboratories are located here and Tsukuba University has a huge campus (physical education and sports being one of its strong holds). If you're interested in hiking Tsukuba-san could be an interesting
challenge. And it will be beautiful with the autum colors.
Travel Tips for Tsukuba
A hiking day can not start without the photo in front
of the TOOSANGUCHI. By now, you are an expert in the Japanese vocabulary. TOO means climb,
SAN means mountain and GUCHI is competitor
of Louis Viton.
Cheese!!!! Think of something that can give you energy....
Metaphysical stuff not included
Paragliding: You go up to a somehow high mountain commend your soul to all gods and jump!!! If there is "kamikaze" blowing into the area, take with you a manual of how to learn korean language in 10 steps... Those steps, providing you will have your legs when crashing in Korea (North or South, it doesn't matter). Guts and another miscelaneous stuff.
