Kanazawa Castle
If you need a helping hand in Kanazawa check out the tourist information center inside Kanazawa station. It’s right near the main doors of the station. They have English speaking staff, maps and a solid knowledge of the city (of course). They will have you on your way to adventure in no time. They may even be able to provide a free guide around town for you.

This is the "IT" place of Kanazawa. The garden is painstakingly designed to ensure that the garden remains beautiful throughout all four seasons. Maple trees planted between plum trees, iris planted in the small streams etc...
Of special interest are the pine trees with heavy branches that require the support of wooden stakes, picturesque landscaped patches with its perfect reflection in the ponds and pavillions situated for autumn foliage and cherry blossom viewing.
Within the ground stands Seisonkaku, a restored villa (separate entrance fee required). The interior of the villa is supposedly beautifully decorated with painted sceens and sliding doors but we did not have the opportunity to view it.
Along the slope towards Kenrokuen from the bus stop, souvenir shops sell the famous Ishikawa pottery and the handicraft centre is also a short walk from the bus stop. Across the garden is Kanazawa castle.
