Tadaya Ryokan

Tadaya is at the far western end of the Wakura Onsen waterfront. It's a spacious ryokan with a commanding view of the western Nanao Bay. We had a most marvelous sunset view from our fifth floor room.

The same wonderful view of the bay could be had from the ground-floor public bath. The indoor bath has a spacious pool with a small bubble bath in the middle; there is an adjacent sauna and a refreshing outdoor section (rotenburo). The changing area of the bath is also very spacious. The water is slightly salty due to the source's proximity to the sea. Warning! the outdoor section (at least the male side) is in full view from water!

Meals at Tadaya were a bit of disappointment - plenty of quantity and variety, but nothing really, strikingly interesting was served and the dinner menu lacked finesse and a real culinary theme.

With prior arrangement, the ryokan will pick you up at Wakura Onsen Station and also can shuttle you to the station, the bus terminal and other places around town.

Price below is per person including dinner and breakfast.
