SAKURAYAMA SHRINE.
Came across this shrine while walking towards Iwate Park. There are as many shrine (if not more) as castles in Japan. If you have not visited a shrine before, this is a good opportunity to visit one where Kami are worshipped at shrines (jinja) in the Shinto religion. Shinto was state religion from 1870s to 1940s but few Japanese are purely Shintoists these days.

The Japanese culture is truly charming & amazing. Immersed in it & you'll be changed forever!
