Travel Tips for Yokohama

Sunset in the harbour of Minato Mirai

by yen_2

When you're in Yokohama, you should visit the towering Landmark(tallest building in Japan which is in the Guiness World of Records for the fstaest Elevator in the World!), from above you can see the Mt. Fuji and the lovely sunset. I always got to visit this place since it's only a 2 min. ride with the train from our place there(which I always miss about). I always miss the respectful people there. My friends and the sushi which they have the best one!

Yokohama Chinatown

by tricia_abanilla

Yokohama Chinatown is a man made tourist attraction that is originally made to attract tourist. It is Japan's Largest Chinatown. Constructed in 1873 by Chinese residents, it is dedicated to the Chinese god of good business and prosperity. A large number of Chinese stores and restaurants can be found in the narrow and colorful streets of Chinatown. Four colorful gates stand at the entrances to Chinatown, and five more gates can be found within. There are also other attractions such as Various events and festival for example Chinese New Year.

It's not Tokyo, but it's just as interesting......

by sumpit

Yokohama was initially developed to assist Tokyo by providing a strategic location for a port....and even until today, despite the second fastest elevator (found in the Minato Mirai 21 buiding which is currently the tallest building in Japan) tht it boasts, it is still famous for its port.....
So famous is its proximity to the ocean that I dont think anybody can go around the city and not look at the beautiful and; like most of the other part of Japan; clean ocean...
