Know your path

Warnings that Testsugaku no Michi is nothing but rows of parked cars are a bit confusing, considering that most of the road is too narrow for two cars to pass, let alone park in rows. (I think much of the road is actually too narrow for one car, but I'm used to wide American roads.)
Most signs, especially away from the bigger tourist areas, are in Japanese, so it's good to ask directions, or better yet find a guide who knows the area.
Comfortable Walking Shoes
by bkoon
Yuo will need to walk a lot. So, get a pair of comfortable shoes. No platforms and high-heels. Sneakers or track shooes or good walking shows would be great. Do not bring "complicated" shoes as you will need to take off your shoes at some sights.

The Golden Pavalion is truly an amazing sight. It does not seem crass at all. It looks beautiful reflecting the sun or been reflected in the pond. Take a walk around the pond and see the Pavalion peak through the trees.
The top two levels are coated in gold leaf and get recoated every once and a while.
Price of admission is Y 400
