Ryokan Yuhara is quite popular with foreign travellers because of its openness and friendliness to the occasional "gaijins"
It is in close proximity to the sights, lying along a convenient bus route that starts/stops at the bus/train station, and which travels a loop to many sights including the main shopping districts.
The announcements in the bus for each stop is made in Japanese and English, so very convenient indeed.
The rooms are extremely comfortable, and is traditional Japanese style. The toilets and bath in the hall are very clean and feels like home.
Although Ryokan Yuhara does not serve meals, the friendly owner and his mom will not hesitate to recommend you places nearby with good food.
Highly recommend this place for all you travellers who are on a budget.
