Japanese-style Accomodation at unbeatable price

I stayed here during my 2 visits to Kyoto. Being on a budget trip, Tour Club is always 1st on my mind for a clean and affordable place to stay in.
I like its cleaniness, its location which is very near to the JR Station and also the friendliness of the staff who are always there to answer your queries.
It is located in a residential area along quiet lane, thus no worries on being knock awake by noisy traffic.
Nearby, is a public bath to experience the true Japanese way of life.

Hostel with good reviews

There are 2 types of accommodation run by the Tour Club Kyoto :
1. Hostel Dorm Beds
2. Japanese Style Inn (with Tatami, Bath, etc)

Located some 15-minute walking distance away from the Kyoto Central Station, this place is quite conveniently located. The place is not easy to locate even with the map.

NOTE: You must book really early as this place is very popular among budget travellers.

Unique Quality: Prices are affordable, sometimes, cheap, depending on how long you stay.

Dorm Beds : As low as JPY2100 per pax.
Ryokan : As low as JPY7245 per room.

Budget Accomodations near JR Kyoto Station

Our family of 4 found our private room (with bathroom, shower and even flat screen tv) here very comfortable. We slept on futons on the tatami floor. The communal kitchen is great for preparing food when eating cheaply and for socializing with fellow travellers.

Unique Quality: The staff is all fluent in English and very helpful.

Great location!

Traveling in low budget

For budget traveler, it's an unexpensive and convenient place. It's close to the Kyoto Station and bus station, so the transportation is quite convenient, furthermore, there are many tasty and unexpensive restaurants nearby, and the closest convenient store is about 2 mins walk, so, you have all the convenience!!
The owner can speak english in fluency, and there are many books and travel guides so you can always find helps.
For more information, check their website.

Unique Quality: It's not a luxurious accommodation, many living facilities are shared, such as kitchen, living room, dinning room and bath room, but they are all fuctional and clean.

Budget Lodging in Kyoto

This is a very conveniently located (9 mins on foot from Kyoto Station) and very cheap. The staff speaks English and the facilities are clean and very adequate.

A dorm bed cost you 2300 yen (excluding the 5% tax) and it gets cheaper the more nights you stay.

For those who wants a little more privacy, there are twin, triple and quad rooms available at 7400/8900/10400 yen which comes with private bath/toilet. Also, this gets cheaper the more nights you stay.

Unique Quality: -Cheap
-Very clean
-Friendly staff
-Great choice of rooms from dorm beds to twin/triple/quad rooms
-Very near the train station
-Close to many sights

Best budget accomomodation

Very new hostel, well-run by a young Japanese couple who are more than willing to make your stay a nice experience.

Unique Quality: The place is small and charming, the toilet and dorm rooms are clean, and the price is the cheapest you will find anywhere in Kyoto.
The owners will gladly give you any information you may need for visiting the city on your own.
Just take a look at the homepage, and you'll see how they take care of every detail.

CHEAP & CLOSE TO JR KYOTO STATION

This accomodation is a 9-min walk from JR Kyoto Station. Cost: 2300yen/night for a dorm-style room. The cheapest I`ve seen for accomodation in Kyoto! Private Japanese-style rooms available for a higher cost. Very friendly English-speaking staff. You can also rent a bicycle if you want from them to ride around Kyoto.

A friendly place to stay in Kyoto

A nice hostel-like accommodation, offering dorms and twins, a little zen garden, and a lot of hospitality. The best part: location (just a few minutes from Kyoto station, in the middle of a nice old-style neighborhood) and its two great owners, who speak fluent English and help you kindly for as far as they can (Thanks guys!).

Unique Quality: Dorms, twins and a Japanese style room, living room, zen garden, towel, washing machine... plus internet connection (not too expensive, for the Japanese standard), card phone, and cheap bike rental.
