It is usually totally filled out, but i suggest walking around and if you see a plastic sheet with perhas one person on it, ask if there is anyone else there, quite often people will spread themselves out but be quite happy to give you a meter or two. ALSO unbelievably enough, once the actual race starts, many many people start LEAVING!!! Yes, they actually leave to avoid the rush back to the trains. I find this unfathomable, but it means you can then find a spot to sit. I like to sit before the H reserved seating area, before the sharp curve, on the straight where you can see both tracks. Next year however, I am thinking of splashing out and getting a reserved seat, perhaps in the G section.... (about 300dollars!!??!)
