Feel right at home at this smaller family run ryokan in the Yudanaka Hot spring Resort. Indoor and Outdoor baths to soak inn. Mainly B and B style accommodation but room only is also OK. Unlike many places in resorts, this ryokan does not raise it's rates for weekends or holidays. Not too far from the entrance to the famous Monkey Hot Spring at Jigokudani

Hotel Yudanaka is a Japanese style inn located in Yudanaka Onsen. We are only 3 minutes walk from Yudanaka Station, Nagano Dentetsu Line. Yudanaka Onsen area is surrounded by mountains and the area is famous for its so called 'snow monkeys', wild Japanese monkeys who are taking open-air hot spring baths. All of the 15 guest rooms are spacious Japanese-style rooms with tatami mats. We have 8 different types of bath. Soak in a hot spring baths and relax! Bath tax 150 yen per night per person 0 yen under 12 years old. Facilities include a restaurant, baths, pool, meeting room, souvenir shop, karaoke room, game corner and barbecue garden as well as a free car park (80 slots).

Shibu Hotel is a charming Japanese Ryokan situated in the old town of Shibu Onsen, Nagano. Many Japanese who love the good old times of Showa come to stay at our hotel. Nearby attractions include the famous Jigokudani Monkey Park where bathing monkeys are spotted during the winter. The park is closer from Shibu Onsen than from Yudanaka Onsen. Free shuttle to Jigokudani Monkey Park is available (subject to time). At night, you can walk around in the town, wearing Yukata (Japanese light robe). Our Kaiseki menu offers a rare opportunity to try out different local Japanese dishes in each season. Our chef cares for quality ingredients. Particularly, rice, Japanese mushrooms, tofu and apples are excellent. Free pickup from / to the nearby Yudanaka station. Just call us on the day you are coming. You can leave your luggage to front desk staff before check-in and after checkout. Many restaurants in the town: Soba, Sushi, and noodle restaurants within a 2-3 minute walk. You can take food to your room.

Shimaya Ryokan provides free shuttle service to / from Jigokudan Snow Monkey Park on demand. You can refresh in our onsen public bath filled with 100% natural hot spring water. The onsen bath can be privately used on weekdays (reserve in advance). Around the hotel are restaurants reasonable in price, sushi-bars, a convenience store open for 24 hours, a coin laundry and an ATM accepting international cards. YU-YADO SEKIYA Hot Spring Ryokan
Small Hot Spring Ryokan in the hills above Yudanaka. Small ski area close by. A great place to really get a way from it all. In summer the drive through to Kusatsu is spectacular (closed due to snow in winter). Only 12 rooms ensures personal attention
As you see there is plenty of accommodation around Monkey Park. The area is famous for it's onsen water and fresh air. It is also popular during the winter as there is plenty to do for the snow sports enthusiasts.

Koraku-Kan minshuku: mountain minshuku
We did not stay here as it was expensive and we wanted to spend the next night closer to Mt. Fuji and Tokyo, but we took few pictures while passing this nice looking mountain minshuku.
