Nimitz Park used to be part of the Naval station Sasebo. Slowly over the years land has been going back to the People of Japan and the city of Sasebo. Soccer, Baseball, Volleyball or even just a kids playground. Great place to grill out and spend a day with friends and family!
This 105 m. high tower is a replica of the tallest church tower in Utrecht, Holland, that was built more than 600 years ago. Visitors can take an elevator to the 80 m. level for a panoramic view of the streets of Huis Ten Bosch and Omura Bay.
Huis Ten Bosch --- Dutch town in Japan
Huis Ten Bosch (Dutch for "house in the forest")
Huis Ten Bosch re-creates the charm and beauty of a 17th century Dutch village. If some of the buildings located in the resort look familiar to people who have visited Holland, it's not a coincidence. Numerous historical landmarks were painstakingly duplicated to ensure authenticity. So great was the care and attention to detail, even the bricks used to construct them were imported from Holland!
Located within the resort are four hotels; 69 shops; 58 restaurants, cafe-terraces and bars; 13 attractions and 11 museums. Visitors may choose to walk around Huis Ten Bosch or travel by canal cruiser, classic taxis or buses. Bicycles are also available for rent.
