One of the better hotels in town
After a disappointing stay at the Super Hotel in Kyoto, I thought that this branch would be similar if not worse. Thankfully, the place is much, much better: newer building, bigger room, and more importantly a friendlier reception staff. The breakfast is also better and tastier...did I mention they bake their own bread?
As mentioned by others, it is right beside the JR Nara station and close by are the Tourist Info center as well as Sanjodori, the main pedestrian street that goes all the way to Nara Park where the attractions are.
Unique Quality: This hotel doesn't have a gym nor pool but they have their own onsen which guests can use for free. It's open from 3 pm till 9:30 am the next day, with free use of locker, liquid soap and shampoo. You have to wear your own yukata (provided for free) towels and slippers from your room. Genders have separate entrances and rooms. Needless to say, you have to bathe in the nude.
