We went to Okayama from Nara a few years ago. The Okayama Villas are a great place to stay. On our trip we went to the Ushimado villa and had a great time. The place was clean and large. Kitchen was well stocked with all you'd need to cook and serve a meal and all for a very reasonable price.
I would completely recommend Ushimado and any of the other Okayama International Villas. It's a great service!
The Ushimado Villa had some of the best views of the coast. High on a hill, it was quite and tranquil.
The rooms were clean and had their own bathrooms. The shared spaces were large and airy.
Buses were avaibale to get from the villa into town/the beach, but we had a car. This is self-catering, independent accommodation. It is charged at 2,500 Yen per person per night and is in great tourist places throughout Okayama-ken from the mountains to islands and beaches. They are high quality and for Japan, very cheap.
