Naha, an Okinawan City of nice people
I was stationed on this Island for 1 year. I absolutely loved the life and ethic of the Okinawan people. Okinawans do not consider themselves normal Japanese, infact they are a unique, well behaved culture that deserves respect. The climate is warm, and I spent much time diving the North of the Island (The South China Sea) and the South (the South Pacific) depending on conditions. It is a Coral Island, warm water, pleasant tropical defines this lovely Island Nation. Naha is the largest city in Okinawa, a busy city, a mini-Tokyo, but less expensive. When I was there, I got 240 Yen to a US Dollar!
