Hilton Osaka: Centrally located    Check Rates

    • Hilton Osaka is a friendly hotel, and the room does meet its expections for what hilton is known for. No free breakfast or internet access however, even if you are a Hilton Honours member. But since it is located just where the subway is, there are plenty of pastry shops and food stores at the underground walkway to the subway for various choices of food.
    Note however that the door from the subway underground link to the hotel directly is
    closed from 9 or 10pm onwards. So one will have to come out to the main road and walk
    over to the hotel.

    Was so busy touring that I have no time to notice anything unique.
    But the concierge is helpful but not informative enough. They kept calling the
    tourist information hotline that often advises tourists to join a tour instead of
    providing sufficient information. One is better off finding answer on the web.

  • Directions: It is located near Osaka JR station (note : Osaka JR station is different from 'Shin Osaka' JR station). It is also located as Nishi-Umeda subway. So rather convenient.

    Clean, small rooms. The view from rooms (I have stayed on both sides of the hotel) is bad, though it's little nicer towards the round brown building.

    Location is good, though. Near the Osaka station, which connects to the KIX airport, Shin-Osaka (for bullet trains to Tokyo etc) and also near post office. Stamps and postcards are not easy to find in Japan so it's good to mention here.

    The JPY 2800's breakfast was good mix of western/japanese style, I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars.

    Efficient service, but english is not spoken well by all the employees. Nevertheless, we had no problems even while not knowing a word of japanese..at least that well. :-)

    Business centre offered 30 minutes of internet for JPY 500.

    Hotel offers shuttle bus service to the KIX airport at a cost of JPY 1300. Be sure to buy the ticket before check-out if you want to pay with credit card so they add it to the bill.

    Rates start JPY 20-30k per room / 2 persons.

    Indoor pool, small gym for JPY 2100

    Luxury shops

    Many restaurants (six, seven?) with all the styles and prices.

    Internet on the lobby / Business room JPY 500, 30 mins

  • Directions: VERY near the Osaka (not SHIN-OSAKA) station! You will see the hotel from the train! Warning, pack light, as the station is always VERY CROWDED.

    For non smokers Japanese hotels bite. The staff sometimes tell you that they can give you a non-smoking room but, in truth they just give you whatever room is available.

    You're better off paying a little more and staying in a western style hotel. Not only do the staff tend to speak English but if you insist on it, you can usually get a non-smoking room on a non-smoking floor.

    In Osaka, I stayed at the Hilton located only a few minutes from the station. I had both a beautiful day and night view from my room.
