Hotel with TV cum Internet

The hotel is most easily accessible from JR Osaka Station. We took the JR Kansai International Airport Rapid Train Service and upon alighting and getting out of the station's pay gate, there's the hotel.

The hotel lobby, however, is the most smoke filled lobby that I ever experienced. The guests are smoking in the pub and cafe to the left and right of the hotel's lobby. Almost choked on the smokes.

However, once into the non-smoking floor and rooms, everything is alright.

The rooms' toilet amenities comes standard with razor, toothbrush, comb, shampoo, conditioner, bath foam, hair dryer, high tech toilet seat, shower, long bath, etc. As with all japanese hotels, the rooms can complete with Yukata.

The room is equipped with TV cum PC cum DVD Player and has an additional LAN port on the writing desk.

Being right next to the JR Osaka Station, one can hear the occasional station announcements but not loud.

Unique Quality: TV equipped with PC console box and DVD player attached to the rear of the TV panel and comes with wireless keyboard with integrated mouse.

Tiny room

The location of this hotel is great, and the room was very clean. The only bad thing about our stay was that the hotel room was tiny! It was marginally larger than the bed with a small desk and space to put a suitcase. The bathroom felt like one of those that you find on sleeper trains.
On the plus side they provided Free internet access in the guest rooms (assuming you brought your own laptop).

(We stayed at the Granvia in Kyoto too, and this room was much larger)

In the Heart of Osaka

Central location and comfortable rooms. Plus a great view over Osaka. Hotel rooms are in 21-26 floor so the scenery is very nice. Great place to stay if you plan to traver by train to other cities.

Unique Quality: You can access JR station from hotel, no need to transport luggage very far. Various restaurants to keep you satisfied. Huge department store (15 floors + 2 under ground level). Great views from rooms. This has everything you need!

Right next to Osaka JR Station is Daimaru Shopping Centre / Hotel Granvia Osaka.

This Daimaru Shopping Centre starts from B2 and goes all the way up to the 14th floor. Each floor covers specialised products targetted at different age/social groups.

The lifts/elevators are manned by female staff who repeated her courtesy calls at each floor level that the lift doors opens.

There are other department stores (eg Hankyu) across the roads which are reported to be equally large. But I didn't visit them to compare/shop. Virtually everything is sold here. Expect to pay a little more for the same product sold here compared to smaller stores
