Kitashinchi
by Gili_S
This area named Kitashinchi is one of the most popular areas for nightlife in Osaka. It has many restaurants, bars and cubs. It was anyway just between the Osaka station and our Hotel, so it was perfect to hang around here for food and drinks.
Kushiyaki and Kushikatsu Izakaya in Minami(Namba)
by MINOSUKE about Takobou
Both Kushiyaki and Kushikatsu are food cooked on bamboo skewers like kabob. Meat, seafood and vegetables are skewered and, in Kushiyaki, they are fried on a flat iron plate like the one used to make okonomiyaki. And, in Kushikatsu, they are deep fried in hot oil like croquettes.
Some of them are eaten with ooster sause. Some are already seasoned with salt. Some with soy sauce and bonito flakes.
In Takobo, both kushiyaki and kushikatsu are delicious. But what attracts me most is the atmosphere, so lively and it makes me very happy. When I sit at the U-shaped counter, it is very amusing to see how they work inside the counter and see how the kushiyaki and kushikatsu are being made.
Takobou is one of my most favorite izakayas in Osaka! In Takobou, you will be able to enjoy the real Osakan Izakaya!

Osaka Aquarium
by kevarms
I am a big fan of aquariums and this is simply the best I have ever seen. You start at the surface with creatures such as seals and penguins, then work your way down 14 tanks to the deep sea creatures. They have a massive whale shark in here (I was spellbound) and dozens of other rays and fishy things. Sugoi desu !!!
The outside of the building resembles a huge butterfly. I would have thought something fish-related would be more appropriate. It's actually pretty hideous.
Kaiyukan Aquarium
by Rabbityama
The Kaiyukan is Osaka's aquarium, located in Tempozan Harbor. It is a large aquarium with excellent exhibits. There is a central tank that extends up a few floors so that you can see it from various angles.
The light displays in my pictures are just outside of the Kaiyukan in November and December for Christmas. There are street performers here many evenings, as well.
Entrance to the aquarium is 2000 yen.
