Go to a Hanshin Tigers game
by AKtravelers
Osaka has two major league baseball teams, the Hanshin Tigers and the Kinetsu Buffalos, but by far the most popular team is the Tigers. From what their devoted fans told me, the Tigers have a long history of being lovable losers, making them the equivalent of the Boston Red Sox or Chicago Cubs in the United States. But, fortunately for me, when I saw the game versus the Hiroshima Carp, the Tigers were actually in first place -- which made the fans especially rapid even though it was quite early in the season (only May).
Because most of the better seating was sold out, I ended up having to get bleacher seats, which put me smack dab in the middle of the MOST fervent Tigers fans -- the ones with the band and cheerleaders in front of them. I was alone, but the guy sitting next to me adopted me despite the fact we did not share a common language except that of baseball. He would tell me each player's name, position then give me a thumbs up or down depending on whether he was good or not. Then he's teach me the song they would sing for each player while he batted. My voice was gone by the end of the game, but I have become a lifelong Tigers fan. Oh, yeah, the Tigers won.
The Haruka
by salisbury3933
The Haruka is an express train that will take you to Kansai international airport in 50 minutes. It's fast, comfortable and relatively inexpensive.
It departs from Shin Osaka station.
There are other trains that will take you from Kansai airport to different parts of Osaka.
I love the breakfast
by santeria01 about The Garden Resto at Hotel Keihan Universal Tower
We have free buffet breakfast at Hotel Keihan. My friend and I thought we should take our breakfast at 830AM before heading off to USJ. Big mistake! a loooonngg queue greeted us. We had to wait in line! waaaahh!
good thing we didn't wait long. After 3 minutes we got a seat. Like I said, I am a breakfast person so buffet breakfast is the best! They had western and asian cuisine, I sampled all of them and I wasn't disappointed. :-)

Down Below the Umeda Skybuilding
by freddie18
While everyone is enjoying the observatory and the city's view on top of the Umeda Skybuilding, I also have enjoyed watching the work of art down below. Just very close to Osaka Station are pieces of art displayed on the ground floor of the Umeda Skybuilding.
Take a look at those carved pieces and other display of unique works at the ground floor. Let me know what you think of them. To me, I appreciate my half hour sitting and watching these arts and talking to other fellow tourists.
Mind you, I found new Thai friends on this spot. They are a couple of tourist from Bangkok and would you believe we visited them in Bangkok on the last leg of our journey very recently. Very pleasant experience indeed!
