Osaka appartment

Hi there
I would like to know is there is any place near Universal-City in Osaka to stay which is really really cheap ;). I will stay for about a week, so a little appartment or a youth hostel,... anything. Fast reply would be much appreciated, I am in Osaka ;).

in the Osaka area you have several youth hostels, I give you this list, I hope it'll help you! Those youth hostels are really cheap in comparison of normals prices in Japan:

-Osaka Shiritsu Nagai >>> http://www.nagaiyh.com/english/ , prices are good and rooms are quite confortable (to me this is the best in Osaka, believe me lol)
-Shin Osaka >>> http://www.osaka-yha.com/shin-osaka/shin-osaka-e/framepage1.html , big building in center of osaka, very good too, and quite cheap
Travel Tips for Osaka
Osaka Dome

Osaka Dome is the home of the Kintetsu Buffaloes (formerly Osaka Buffaloes until they went bust and had to merge with another team).
Regular games are staged in the 50,000 seater indoor stadium throughout the season, and the dome also plays host to the Hanshin Tigers (Kansai's biggest baseball team, who play in the central league) for a few games each year.
Keep your eye open for the special entry price nights, such as Womens nights and Salarymen nights (when anyone with an Alien registration card can get in for 500 yen).
Live music and major dance events are also held here on occasion.
Osaka's Subway System

The Osaka Municipal Transportation Bureau operates 7 subway lines and 1 New Tram line, providing the fastest and easiest way to get around Osaka. However, the different exits at the stations do pose as a challenge to those who ain't good at directions.

At the soba restaurant on the 7th floor of the Hep5 building, you order while you are waiting outside and since the window is full of plastic models of all the meals, just POINT! :) Soba noodles with tempura! $850!
Osaka River Cruise - Aqualiner

Easy to get to, with one of the four departure/arrival docks at the park beside Osaka castle. Good way to see a unique perspective of the city.
Take it from point to point, or do a circuit if you have some time to kill. Takes about an hour, and costs 17-1800 Yen for an adult.
The boat is unique in that the whole roof/ceiling lowers for low bridges, and raises again after passing. Beer/snacks available on board.

The Shinsaibashi district...

The Shinsaibashi district stretches north-south from Nagahori-dori street to Dotonbori Horikawa, with many long-established shops and department stores. This district is represented by the arcaded Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Street. Under Nagahori-dori Street, Crysta Nagahori is an underground shopping center of light and water.
Its 'Waterfall Plaza' has a must-see 12 m-high glass ceiling on which water flows. Other attractions include the atmospheric European Street with a stone pavement and retrospective streetlights. American Village attracts many young people with about 3,000 young fashion boutiques and many clothes dealers.
