A SHOPPING MECCA
by heywinks about IN SHINSAIBASHI
Shinsaibashi is an area of Osaka where shops line the streets. It`s a very fashionable area & you can find alot of designer shops here from abroad (Armani Exchange, Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, etc). There is The Loft here & Tokyu Hands (stores where you can find anything!!). Department stores like Sogo & Daimaru are here as well.
You could very well spend a whole day shopping in Shinsaibashi. And Namba is just a few blocks down the street.
Shinsaibashi is also home to American Mura (American Village). American goods can be purchased here (alot of used clothing stores!!).

BURDIGALA WINE BAR AND RESTAURANT
This is a beautiful restaurant where you can spend a few hours sipping wine, eating 'real' bread and eating delicious Italian pasta - you'll forget that you are in Japan. The all-you-can-eat baguette they serve during dinner and the red wine.
Hep Five Ferris Wheel
by UKDaisy
You'll find this huge ferris wheel on top of a building, a shopping mall called Hep Five to be exact. The cost to ride is 500Yen per person (in Nov 2005).
The ferris wheel is open everyday (except the 3rd Thursday of every month) from 11am to 11pm. There's quite a lot of shopping and entertainment facilities in the area, the local bowling alley had the funkiest bowling balls some looked like basket balls.
TennoJi Zoo
by PartyRambo
A zoo is a zoo is a zoo... but it's been years since I've been to one, so I thought I'd take a look.
As zoos go, I wouldn't rate it high or low, but somewhere in the middle - but again, for a family afternoon, with the TennoJi temple and park right around the corner, it's an easy way to spend the day without walking forever.
