Suita hosted the 1970 Expo, which was the first Word Fair held in Japan. The Tower of the Sun was the center and symbol of the Expo. While the Expo is long gone, many sites remain for visitors, including the Tower of the Sun.

The Ethnological Museum, Rose Garden, and Japanese garden are all located within Expo Park.
