Parade Float display room
In the museum there is a special room displaying the floats, but on the day I went there where not because they were already taken out to parade that night....
But on the other hand, you will still feel the sounds and atmosphere of the parade floats in this room...because of the audio visual presentation, you can still feel as though you are actually at the parade...
If you get a change, as night sets in and the kite battle come to a close, attention shifts towards the center of town, where the floats parade will be...
The floats are led by the NERI people marching and playing the bugle, taiko and chanting...
This is also combined with the sounds of the OHAYASHI, children playing flutes and drums while riding on the floats...
Each community designs its own elaborate float called GOTENYATAI..
