Slightly overrated for the price
The rooms and bathing facilities are pretty good, but the service was not as good as one would expect for a hotel charging what this hotel charges.
The food was of a high standard and presentation, but the hotel lets itself down in the sense that some of the reception staff come across as being a little unprofessional.
It is perhaps a reflection of complacency more than anything, as tourists come, and will continue to come to Nikko in large numbers.
