If you had asked me 10 years ago if I was going to be going to Japan sometime, I would have laughed and said "What would I do in Japan?? But here I was on my 4th business trip to Japan. Funny how these things happen. Japan is an interesting country due to it's isolation as an island which contributed to its modern culture. The strange thing about modern Japan is, that it owes much of its success as a world economic powerhouse to an American man named W. Edwards Deming. I have visited Utsunomiya three times so far and there is much more to see than I will describe on these pages.
