Omoide yokocho
Hi,
Does anyone know whether Omoide yokocho still exists? I want to visit when in Japan in April this year, but keep reading it is slated for demolition some time soon.

I just saw a beautiful night pic of it on Panoramio, taken by a guy living in Tokyo on 20 October 2009. He got compliments in comments and acknowledged them as recently as end December 2009, no mention of demolition expected any time soon. There's hope!
(info about plans to demolish came out in 2005 and at the time, demolition was to be completed by 2008. The place certainly was intact in Oct. 09...)
