"Real" supermarket near Shinjuku?
A friend and I are in Shinjuku at the moment and we're wondering where we could find a real supermarket to stock up on some food? We've found the small grocery stores at the bottom of places like the Odakyu building, but it's just basic forms of fruit, meat and veg. We were sort of hoping there'd be something bigger scale with a lot more variety.
We don't mind having to catch a train out of Shinjuku or anything, so any ideas of where we should head?

I don't have access to a map at the moment but I'll try to describe it as best I can.
Go to the west exit and head west. Go between the cocoon tower and l tower. It's a small street. You will come out to a bigger street that takes you past a "love" sign at the shinjuku island tower then the Hilton. Keep walking till you are on the north side of Shinjuku Chuo Park. There is a Maruetsu Petit there. Small but should have enough.
Alternatively you can go to Nakano Sakaue station on the Marunouchi line. About 2 stations west. When you exit, you will be at a major crossing. Head west and on the north side there is an Olympic grocery store. This is a typical city grocery store.
There ate some to the east but I don't know where.

The bottom floor of the Takashimaya Times Square Dept Store is groceries. (Across the street from Shinjuku Stn, South Exit)
