There are many restaurants and konbini nearby (7-11 is in the hotel building). Just walk down the street on the opposite side of Akasaka-Mitsuke and you'll find just about everything including a pub or two (skip the Mermaid and walk a few more blocks down to the Hobgoblin - better atmosphere and selection of food). Citibank is very close but there's a post office nearby as well, so you have options for easily withdrawing money at a global ATM.
The drawbacks were the bed and the pillows. Guests are provided with a rice pillow and a foam one. Neither were all that great for sleeping, but at least you'll have an extra for propping up your sore feet after a full day of walking. The bed was pretty hard. We really only slept because we were exhausted from jet lag and sightseeing. One other thing to mention; the room has it's own climate control, however you won't get any A/C unless it has been turned on for the whole building (the fan will just run otherwise).
