 | Tokyo Le Meridien Pacific Reviews | Tips 1 - 6 of 6 | | | | | | Le Meridien Pacific: Breakfast by the Koi-pond !
Tip Rating: Satisfaction: | | | | |
This hotel is one of the really good Tokyo hotels, not only from its location (in the center of Shinagawa-district, close to the railway station), but also with regard to its serene luxury. The service is flawless, especially at the front desk and with the bellmen, and also in the restaurant and lobby-bar.
Modern, not too spacious rooms with all the usual amenities, internet-access, TV, coffe-making device, minbar etc. Automatized toilet with programmable hygiene-services (I did not dare to switch on !) Especially beautiful its breakfast-room by a waterfall and pond with dozens of beautiful Kois ("lucky carps") Leave a Comment

 | | | | Le Meridien Pacific: Business hotel in Shinagawa
| | | | |
Le Meridien is a regular business hotel, located right in the middle of Shinagawa. It's one of two corporate hotels that I regularly use, for its proximity to my office. But work aside, this hotel is convenient for its close proximity (just across the road!) to the JR Shinagawa station. This station is on the Yamanote line, and it's connected to several other lines as well, making it easy to get around. Shinagawa itself is lively even late at night, and most importantly, you can always find something to eat., even if you work till the wee hours. There are sushi bars nearby, and if you're desperate for some Western food, TGI Friday's is in the hotel itself and Outback is just a street away. The hotel itself is clean, but has a permanent lingering smell of smoke, and even the walls seem to have grown yellow with the years of cigarette smoke billowing through its corridors. Having said that, the rooms are of a reasonable size, and there's a nice lounge area looking out on a waterfall landscape. Being a regular Japanese hotel, it doesn't come with the fancies, so don't expect a pool or gym. But you can always make up for the exercise by endlessly running after trains! Leave a Comment
