Quality option for this area

I haven't actually stayed here myself, but as the Akabane area is a bus ride away from where I live in Tokyo, several relatives have stayed here.

It is right outside JR Akabane station. Akabane is a major train junction in the North of Tokyo, and trains head from here towards Tokyo station, as well as towards Ikebukuro and Shinjuku.

Also there are a number of northbound services headed for Saitama, Gunma and Tochigi prefectures.

There are cheaper options in the area, and Mets is a bit more expensive, but it is a good quality hotel, and both my parents, and also my Mother in law made positive remarks about the hotel.

In the area there are plenty of restaurants, chain izakayas, convenience stores and a supermarket.

There is also a Chinese restaurant attached to the hotel itself, which I have not tried.

Parts of the Akabane area are a bit seedy though with adult related businesses and the like, but these areas are easily avoided, and the area is safe.
