Mt Fuji as viewed from Rainbow Bridge
I would presume there'd be quite a few river cruise operators plying the Sumida River. We'll be there in December. Would appreciate any recommendations on some of the better cruise options. Thanks.
I've only been on two before, one for the day and one for the night. Each demands it's own treatment:

There are foodstalls and tiny shops and stalls in lanes and alleys. The one pictured was at Shinjuku, near the Shinjuku station and Times Square area. The stalls look rather traditional to my untrained eyes...and make for a good photo opportunity.
Juxtoposed with the traditional are the young Japanese guys, with punky yellow hair, and one is speaking on the handphone.
Shibuya is a welknow place to all tourist. There is a dog sculpture in front of the station and it reminds people the touching story - Friendship of human and animal.
Besides the story, you can tell what is the fashion "IN" of the time when you walk on the street.
Aslyhan (with an accent in y) live is Istanbul, a visit that I dream with visiting, the melting pot of "all" cultures in the days of Suleyman. The main gate of a budhist temple is perhaps for her something different. Kozoji has this magnificent tall main gate, seen from inside, but it also has this beautiful pine in front of it.
Heading north of the Kitanomaru-koen Park, another 5 mins walk from the Science Mesuem, here lies the Budokan hall. It was built in the 1960s purpose to hold judo events, but it is now more famously the Tokyo venue for big name singers' concert hall.
Lots of traveller might come across this and having a big question mark. What does this means? If you see this symbol or structure beside the pond, street, up on the hills or elsewhere.....this is the symbol of the japanese prayer called torri(meaning a gate). A place where you can find a temple or shrine in walking distance. I saw it in wooden and orange color. It might have some others different color.
