Great Hotel

I loved the hotel. We got a good rate at 95 dollars per night, which is great for this hotel. The room was comfy, nice, modern and high tech!. Location was super!. I would skip the breakfast though.

Comfortable hotel next to Shinagawa train station

Room Size - small

Beds - comfortable

Kettle - yes (it can keep your water warm without having the need to reboil your water)

Casual yukata - yes

Shower - good

Toothbrush - yes

Shampoo, conditioner and bath gel - yes

Moisturiser - not supplied!

Ambience - good! Loved it!

View - excellent view of Tokyo (we stayed at the 28th floor)

Unique Quality: It's just right in front of the Shinagawa station, so that's a real bonus.

If you're travelling free and easy and not following any tours, you'd really need to choose a hotel which is close to the train stations. It's a real relief to be able to not walk so far to your hotel when you're dead tired at the end of the day which loads of shopping bags with you.

best location in Tokyo!!!!!

Easy accesibility to the JR Trains and to other parts of Japan via the Assorted trains and the Shinkansen! Shinagawa Prince hotel is huge at 3000 plus rooms and has lots of amenitieslike it's own movie theater, it's own food court and shopping center, it's own aquarium and indoor activity center (Epson Aqua) but the best deal is that it is just a 5 minute walk to the Shinagawa Station that will connect you to anywhere in tokyo or other parts of Japan. It is just 76km from Narita International Airport and the Airport Limousine Bus stops in front of the hotel. Also has it's own convenience store and a 7-11 store just across the lobby and has a mc donald's in it's complex.

Unique Quality: although the shinagawa prince hotel is very convenient, it has small rooms but most hotels in japan have small rooms (even the 5 star ones). the rooms was clean and comfortable and the toilet is something else (japan is famous for high tech toilets you see). We stayed in the main tower and they offered a 500 yen rebate for 2 days of not fixing up the room. Another plus here is that all the major tour bus companies have pick up and drop off service. see my other pictures of the areas around shinagawa station and shinagawa station!

Good location

We chose this hotel from a few offered in a flight + hotel package primarily because of its location by the train station. This turned out to be a definite bonus. The Shinagawa station provided quick and easy transport to different parts of Tokyo, but even better, it was just steps from the hotel to get to the bullet train for our travel out of Tokyo.

Also, there are several pretty good restaurants just outside the hotel, as well as convenient shops in case you need to buy anything. We also liked the lounge at the top floor, which was great for a night view of Tokyo.

Excellent Hotel in Tokyo

This hotel, included in our package deal, was one we were very happy with.
Its location was good, very convenient being nearly opposite the Shinagawa Railway station.
Easy to reach from Narita Airport, we used the Limousine bus service.

Our room was located on a high floor, with good views over this area of the city. We looked over the train tracks heading into the Shinagawa Railway station, it was like watching a model railway, very busy. We both enjoyed sitting by the window, watching all the Trains, including Bullet trains, they seemed to be about 3 minutes apart by our calculations.

Our room was very clean and nice, with a very up to date Bathroom.

Breakfast was in the Hapuna buffet restaurant, which is set in a tropical location.
A huge room, with a huge array of Western and Asian foods to chose from, buffet style.

Staff at this hotel were very helpful in providing information on whatever we wanted to know. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

No complaints, in one word.........EXCELLENT!

Unique Quality: By limousine bus: From bus stops 4 and 13 on the first floor of Terminal 1 and from bus stops 4 and 14 on the first floor of Terminal 2. Board a bus bound for Shinagawa and Ebisu area hotels and get off at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel.
It takes about 65 minutes from Airport to the Hotel.

Good for first time traveler

Shinagawa is divider into two sections. The main building and annex which more for budget traveller but who care as long as the location is good. Have been stay at the hotel for quite some times. The first visit I stay in the main block and second time onward I book the annex block which is lower in cost. The compliment Japanese breakfast is very good.

Unique Quality: Toilet! the toilet is outstanding it is so clamp that you can do all the activities you want just by turning yourself around. I think many who stay in Japan's hotel has to agree with this.

Excellent Location

Very clean, excellent service, well furnished rooms. Rooms are small, but then it's Japan, all rooms are small. Right next to the train station, which is very important. A bit on the pricey side but worth the $. I would say it's a 4.5 star hotel with 3.5 star prices.

Unique Quality: Ask for a high floor for a good view. Some of the low floors have real bad views.

Wonderful Area

Shinagawa Prince Hotel is a great hotel, easy access to everything you need, and the hotel staff are great. The JR station is very close to the hotel, and with many shops and a aquarium soon appearing in the hotel, What more can you ask?

Unique Quality: Bowling Alley, 2 theaters, Arcade, many shops and restuarants, Very resonable price for Japan.

A nice property with a pretty good location in one of the less dodgy entertainment districts. Since I stayed at the Shinagawa Prince hotel earlier in my trip and was really disappointed, this was a pleasant surprise. Without booking I was upgraded to a business suite! Living room had couch, desk, TV and seperate bedroom had another TV. Yakata's and slippers were nice! Truly a very japanese luxury, well that and the deep tubs.

Hi

I used to stay at Shinagawa Prince Hotel for my trips to Japan. The reasons are easily assessible (5 minutes walking distance to the Shinagawa JR station which is sizable), good quality of room, one mall with around 10 restaurants nearby, shuttle bus available from Narita Airport to hotel and a quite but safe place. If you take domestic flights, there is train running between Shinagawa station and Hanada airport and it's only around 20 minutes travelling time.

Upon check-in, pls go to the new wing, a taller building where there is only twin room available. If you request for single room, twin room is offered and thus a spacious environment is granted.

I haven't used asiarooms.com for reservation. The cheapest way to book locally is by means by travel agent and the rate is much lower than that of the website. This is the situation in Hong Kong. You may gonna check.

For year 2006, with the travel agent, the price of a single room is around HK$1,000 inclusive of breakfast and HK$150 more for a twin occupancy.

Hope this helps.

A very convenience location as Joyce has mentioned. Most of my trips to tokyo I stay in Shinagawa Prince. Opposite there is a shopping centre and supermarket. 24hrs convenience store. At around 10pm to the left of the shopping there is noodle store runs by a old couple serve very nice ramen "noodle" they has been there for many years. I use to patronise the store whenever I am in Shinagawa.
