Kintaikyo Bridge
I lived in Iwakuni, right outside the USMC air station, for 2 years.
This Kintaikyo bridge was originally built in the 17th century, and has been re-built every 50 years.
You can walk across this bridge. A long time ago, people I know drove through it. That's maybe why they put poles to both ends of the bridge now.
Bus leaves from Iwakuni train station or Shin-Iwakuni shinkansen station to Kintaikyo every 20 minutes or so.
