Nomad Hotel Atyrau: Atyrau Hotels
I stayed four days at the Nomad Hotel in Atyrau, the accomodations
were very clean, staff was very helpful, and the curry was excellent.
I am planning additional trips to Kazakhstan and plan to be staying
at the NOMAD!!
Unique Quality: The view of the river was nice, there is a walkway along the river where
you can see some of the sights of the "European" side of Atyrau, it is very
close to the airport, rates are very reasonable, this is a good place to stay
when in Atyrau.

The Atyrau Hotel: Tranquil
Just popped in for drinks and came back again and again
Unique Quality: Called in on a Sunday after a walk...
Now we call in every Sunday for pre lunch drinks....
Sitting in this small bar looking out onto the spotless, tranquil , inviting reception, starts your Sunday off as it should be....

Not stayed but eaten here.
Varied and extensive menu.
Not badly priced.
Good Indian chef who serves a good curry

Tengri Hotel: THE SUPA TRUPA
We are renting an Appartment on the 6th Floor. Basic but it'll do for what we need.
Hotel is clean as are the rooms kept, just a fight for towels,
Laundry is done on the same day within hours, so this is a bonus for me....
Satalite TV, just a few Channels, Euro News, BBC World News, and MGM Film, there are other channels but no good for me.
There is a resturant with the best ever Indian Chef, there is a buffet for Breakfast, Lunch and evening Dinner which is good, but if you want Indian you have to ask for it.
The bar is fully stocked for about an hour, as happy hour is 18.00/ 20.00, and all the workers come in for this and then go, so us regulars are left with what is left. I drink my own... Tia maria and Diet Coke, both of which they do not stock.....
On the odd night you will catch "THE SUPA TRUPA'S" as I call them, tho my husband tried to tell me they were the cleaners, I know why as well, cos they take you to the cleaners. If its not nailed down they'll take it. Heard many a story of the..... what will I tell my wife, .... my driving license, my credit card, my dollars.... boohoo.... she took everything..... ha ha ha. But these girls goclip-clopping through the reception to the lift.... they usuall clip-clop back out an hour later.... as they work on an hourly rate. Dont think I need to elaborate on that.
But its fun to watch and you just turn a blind eye to it. And have a good laugh.
Tho I do have to say this is not the only hotel they frequent.
